WindWhisperer 50 kW installation — photograph to be supplied

Three configurations. One generator platform.

All three models use the same 50 kW / 18 Phase DC generator and share the same certifications, noise level, and self-limiting rotor. The differences are physical — rotor height and wind directors — matched to what your site demands.

Choose your model
Short rotor · 2.1 m

WindWhisperer 50

Compact form factor for sites where installation height is constrained — low roof clearance, planning height limits, or tight urban settings.

  • Rotor height: 2.1 m
  • Weight: 325 kg
  • Annual output: ~115 MWh
Tall rotor · 4.4 m

WindWhisperer 50 Max

The tall-rotor model for sites with good open wind exposure. Greater rotor height captures a larger swept area and extracts more energy from the same wind resource.

  • Rotor height: 4.4 m
  • Annual output: ~220 MWh
  • Wind directors: Not included
Tall rotor + wind directors

WindWhisperer 50 Ultra

The Max platform with wind directors. For sites where wind speed or direction is marginal — the directors open locations that would otherwise be borderline.

  • Rotor height: 4.4 m
  • Annual output: ~220 MWh
  • Wind directors: 4–5 panels, turbine height, 2–5 m radial reach

What every 50 kW WindWhisperer delivers

2.2 m/s

Cut-in wind speed — significantly below conventional turbines at 3.0–4.0 m/s. Generates during low-wind periods that leave other turbines completely idle.

35 dB @ 3 m

Noise at 3 metres — quieter than a normal conversation. Within residential limits in Sweden, the UK, and Scandinavia. Suitable near occupied buildings.

360°

Omni-directional. No yaw mechanism required. Turbulent, multi-directional wind — common on rooftops and exposed farm sites — is not a penalty.

No cut-out

Self-limiting rotor geometry holds rated output in any wind strength. Conventional turbines shut down above ~25 m/s and produce nothing during storms.

Compact. Lightweight. Built for height-constrained sites.

At 2.1 m tall and 325 kg, the WindWhisperer 50 is designed for situations where a full-height rotor is not an option — a low-parapet rooftop, a planning envelope with a strict height limit, or a site where structural loading is a constraint. It delivers the full 50 kW generator with the smallest physical footprint in the range.

Greater swept area. More energy from the same wind.

Where installation height is not a constraint, the Max 50's taller rotor extracts more from the same wind resource. The additional swept area increases annual output compared to the short model — making the Max 50 the better choice for sites with good open exposure and no height restrictions. Same generator, same 215 kWh lithium (included) storage, same certifications. More height, more energy.

Wind directors — opening sites that would otherwise be borderline

At 4.4 m tall and 510kg, the WindWhisperer 50 Ultra four to five radial wind director panels to the Max platform. Each panel is as tall as the rotor and extends 2–5 metres outward — physically channelling a wider column of air into the rotor. For sites where wind speed or direction is marginal, the Ultra converts borderline viability into confirmed output.

Wind directors also lower the turbine's effective cut-in threshold. The directors do not change the rated output ceiling; they raise the floor.

Marginal sites made viable. The same certified platform.

The WindWhisperer 50 Ultra brings wind directors to the Max platform. The same 4.4 m rotor, the same 50 kW generator, the same certifications — with the addition of four to five radial director panels that channel a wider column of air into the rotor. For sites where wind speed or direction is marginal, the Ultra converts borderline viability into confirmed output.

Where the 50 kW platform fits best

Ideal for

Height-constrained rooftops

Low parapet walls, planning height limits, or structural loading constraints. The WindWhisperer 50's WW-50_rotor_height5 rotor and WW-50_weight4 make it the practical choice when a full-height installation is not possible.

Working farms

Same use case as the 100 kW, at half the scale. Suitable for smaller holdings or as a second unit alongside a 100 kW installation. ~115 MWh per year from the base model.

Commercial premises

1.5 m diameter fits tight rooftops. 35 dB @ 3 m noise level is within residential limits. A practical first step toward on-site renewable generation.

Grid-constrained sites

215 kWh LFP battery storage included as standard across all three models. Storage manages grid export, enables peak shaving, and buffers generation for use when the turbine is not producing.

215 kWh LFP. Every installation.

Battery storage is central to how the system performs — not an optional extra. Storage smooths wind variability, enables peak shaving, supports grid export management, and ensures energy is available when the turbine is not generating.

All three WindWhisperer 50 models are compatible with solar PV integration. Wind and solar are naturally complementary: solar produces most during calm summer days; wind typically strengthens during winter, at night, and in overcast conditions.

Installation

Certified installers only

All WindWhisperer installations are carried out exclusively by qualified, certified third-party installers — ensuring correct commissioning, compliant grid connection, and local regulatory compliance.

Ongoing maintenance

The installer who commissions your turbine typically holds the maintenance contract for the life of the system. They know your installation from day one.

Timeline

Weeks 0–2: Contract signature; planning application, grid connection application, and building permit submitted simultaneously.
Weeks 2–6: Approvals received; civil works completed.
Weeks 6–10: Turbine mounted and commissioned; EcoHub monitoring activated.
Weeks 10–16: Grid owner inspection and formal connection confirmation.
Total: 16 weeks from signature to full production. Full installation timeline
