At 100 kW scale, the economic case for maximising annual output is strong. Wind directors are flat vertical panels — typically four or five — attached radially to the turbine stator. Each panel is as tall as the 4.4 m rotor and extends 2–5 metres outward, physically channelling a wider column of air into the rotor.
The result is a measurable increase in annual energy production. On a site where the WindWhisperer 100 Max generates its baseline ~230 MWh per year, the WindWhisperer 100 Ultra extracts more from the same wind resource — improving the return on the same capital investment in grid connection, installation, and battery storage.
Wind directors also lower the turbine's effective cut-in threshold. Sites that are marginally viable for the WindWhisperer 100 Max become clearly viable for the WindWhisperer 100 Ultra. The directors do not change the rated output ceiling; they raise the floor.
